You Mean EVERY Day?
LOVE is ALSO how our
faith actually operates. In Gal. 5:6 it reads, " . . . faith which worketh by love." We receive the promises of God,
our salvation, healing, deliverances, everything by faith. And without having LOVE it
makes our faith not work! Remember everything is hanging on LOVE! In addition,
we have to keep in mind that The Word says in Hebrews 11:6, "And without faith it is
impossible to please God," To please our wonderful God and Savior, we must do so through faith,
and faith works by LOVE! So, if everything is hanging on LOVE
even our faith, we can clearly see that LOVE and walking in LOVE has got
to be our focus. In 1 Corinthians 13:2-8 (AMP) it tells us, "And if I have prophetic powers
(the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all
knowledge, and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love (God's love in me) I am
nothing (a useless nobody). 3 Even if I dole out all that I have [to the poor in providing] food, and if I surrender
my body to be burned or in order that I may glory, but have not love (God's love in me), I gain nothing. 4 Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious
nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. 5
It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love
(God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful
or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. 6
It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. 7 Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of
every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. 8 Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. . . . . ."
For example, let's say I am studying and I have to be at a church to minister in just a couple of hours, and I really don't feel that I'm quite prepared yet. Well, the phone rings a couple of times and its companies wanting me to take their credit cards, and I haven't got dinner made for Dewayne and I, and I still have to iron my clothes, and go to the Post Office and the bank. I start to feel that stirring going on in me, I feel worried and nervous that I won't be able to get all of this done and be prepared to go minister. I immediately STOP. Look at that definition of LOVE and say out loud, "LOVE is not fretful, and Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, and it endures everything without weakening." Then I ask God to help and forgive me for not trusting in Him for His help and His Peace through my day. Let's say that you are in a restaurant and your waitress is terrible to you and your party. She
takes a long time to come to take your order, she never smiles, she gets your orders wrong and she is rude to you because
you ask if a correction of the meals can be made. She never comes and checks to see if you need anything. You
begin to feel that stirring again. What do you do? You can say to yourself, "Love endures long and is patient and kind; it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly.
It is not touchy it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong. Love bears up
under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person."
