Getting Ready!

“. . . For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.” Rev. 19:7

The LEAVING Factor, Part 2

Hello Beloved Partners and Friends of JCM!  We Love You So Much and Bless You and Your Beautiful Lives In Jesus Name!  Thank you for ALL YOU DO!  I came across a Word from The Lord that had been given to you before and I have to send it to you again.  This is from our Wonderful Father!  Really hear how much He loves YOU!

Do you know how loved you are?  You are more precious to Me than the rubies, sapphires and diamonds that I have created.  You are more valuable than the mountains, streams and oceans to Me.  All that has been made that you know and see was made for just that . . . you, beautiful you! . . . Know that I Love you with an Everlasting Love and that My desire is for you to know Me and my Love for you.  I have the best life planned for you! You are precious to Me!

Glory To God!  Hallelujah!  How He Loves Us!  He wants SO MUCH for us!  He wants us to have a GREAT LIFE!  He has such good things for us and planned for us!  And part of having a great life is knowing LIFE.  You and I can't really KNOW LIFE and DO LIFE without KNOWING Him . . . and DOING HIM!  Jesus IS LIFE!  Jesus also is THE WORD OF GOD.  So, you cannot KNOW and DO . . . LIFE, without Life, Himself, Jesus!  And you cannot KNOW and DO . . . LIFE, Who is JESUS, without READING and DOING The WORD Of God, Who is Jesus!

"In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. . . 14 And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; " John 1:1,14 (AMPC)

Last Month we talked about something that The Lord wanted to put His Finger on in His Body and that is the Truth about, Leaving.  We are going to address this more this Month, Lord Willing and see what He wants us to know . . . all of us to know.  First,

Ephesians 2:10 (AMPC) “For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [TAKING PATHS which He prepared ahead of time], that we SHOULD WALK in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”

The Lord has said that, He has "the best life planned for" us.  He has done His Part, He has "planned," "predestined" and "prepared" EVERYTHING!  Our job IS TO FOLLOW!  Follow what?  Follow The Word of God, which IS JESUS (John 1:1,14).  And when you and I learn to JUST DO WHATEVER THE LORD SAYS and live our lives by what we SEE and HEAR . . . INSIDE OF US and not by what makes sense it will lead us on wonderful "paths" that have already been predestined and preplanned for us!

The "paths" were explained last Month, so here is a portion from it to remind me and you about this IMPORTANT PART OF OUR DESTINIES!  YES!  THIS IS ABOUT YOUR TRUE DESTINY, Beloved of God!  The "PATHS" OF GOD have been Pre - designed, Pre -destined, Pre - pared and Pre - arranged by Jesus, Himself!  Who wouldn't want all of this DIRECTION and prepared and mapped out Places, Things and Future by God?  Sadly, the answer to that question is MANY!  So many people have made their lives THEIR OWN and are not walking on the "PATHS" that have been already prepared for them.  Many are comfortable and content on doing what they want and making all their own decisions and doing Life by their own reasoning, thoughts and ideas.  Using their senses and understanding and what everyone else is doing around them to make their decisions and to dictate to them what to do, where to be and how long to stay where they are.  But, THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO MAKE DECISIONS IN LIFE!  JESUS IS THE WAY!  JESUS IS THE WORD!

"Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life;"

John 14:6 (AMPC)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.  6 Seek His will in ALL you do, and He will show you which path to take." Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT)

One thing I have greatly learned is that "PATHS" WERE MADE TO WALK ON.  They are for MOTION and to GET YOU FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER.  "PATHS" are not for just standing on.  They are to keep you on a "PATH" to keep you on a specific direction on a journey that will aid you in not getting off in some place that you are not to be located in.  "PATHS" are FOR YOU and FOR YOUR JOURNEY!  Staying on the "PATHS" that God has for you will also protect you from harm, for they are the EXACT PLACES that you are to be in and at the EXACT TIME.  And "PATHS" TAKE YOU FROM PLACES . . . AND BRING YOU TO PLACES!  God's "PATHS" are awesome!  And how to follow the "PATHS" of God is by His Spirit directing you through His Word, either a logos Word, which is The Bible or a rhema Word, which is a right now Word from The Master.  God's WORD IS TIED TO THE "PATHS" OF GOD FOR YOU, BELOVED!  His Word IS THE ONLY WAY to the "PATHS."  The Word of God "shows you" which "PATH" is from Him and His Word keeps "a light" on the "PATH" of God for you.  JESUS IS THE LIGHT!  The Light, Jesus, The Word clearly shines so that you can see that the "PATH" you are on is one from Him and shows you that you are going the RIGHT WAY on the "PATH."

"Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." Psalm 119:105 (AMPC)

We talked of last Month about how when Jesus tells you to leave a place that it is a wonderful thing and that it is motion on the path of God he has predestined you to be on.  We discussed how many people who followed Jesus were from other places when they left there to come to Him and His Ministry.  Some were men like Jairus who were a part of other Synagogues in the Cities He visited.  Wives and families of the men of the surrounding City’s Synagogues also.  Some were even Leaders at the Temple (Nicodemus.)  Others came from other Ministries like John The Baptist's.  Some of the Disciples of John The Baptist's Ministry left and came to Jesus'.  And, Father God would never have allowed people to go from one Ministry to another if it was not right!  Jesus said there was no one greater than John! (Matthew 11:11))  So why did his Disciples leave and why did Jesus receive them?  BECAUSE IT WAS TIME FOR THEM TO GO TO THE NEXT LEVEL, TO HIGHER EDUCATION OF GOD!  And that is good when God says to go and leave!

On the "paths" of all the people who left where they were to go to another Ministry to receive the next level with God they all had to do one thing . . . and that is become A DISCIPLE.  So, the person had TO LEAVE . . . PEOPLE, PLACES, POSITIONS and THINGS and the person had to BECOME A DISCIPLE.  Peter who we know was married for his mother-in-law was healed by Jesus, (Matthew 8:14–15) and his brother Andrew who had a fishing business (which would have been very lucrative back then) walked away from their business. (Matthew 4:19)  James and John are up on the shore with their father, Zebedee.  They are sitting in a boat repairing their nets.  Jesus calls out to them and The Bible says that, “they immediately followed Him, leaving the boat and their father behind.” (Matthew 4:22 (NLT)  These people left family, security, positions and jobs to go and follow what The Lord was asking them to do.  THEY DID NOT KNOW ALL THE DETAILS and they DID NOT KNOW ALL THE ANSWERS TO ALL THE QUESTIONS THEY WOULD HAVE HAD IN THE BEGINNING OF THESE DECISIONS!  These people JUST LEFT when The Lord asked them to.  Others who left their lives like Phillip, Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Susanna (Luke 8:2-3,) Luke, Paul, Pricilla, Aquilla and Timothy are just a few.

The Hebrew word for “Disciple” is Strong’s #3928 -limmud.  “Limmud” means accustomed to something, taught, construct.  The root word to “limmud” is the Hebrew word, lamad, which is Strong’s #3925 which means teach, accept, expert, instruct, instructors, learn, really learn, skillful, teacher, teaching and again, train, trained as soldiers.  A Disciple means to be a Follower of Jesus Christ, to be A FOLLOWER OF THE WORD, JESUS.  The word “Discipline” comes from the Root Word of “Disciple” and has the word “Disciple” inside of it.  Which is exactly what a Disciple becomes.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” Matthew 28:19 (AMP)

When we read Matthew 28:19 there are two words that stand out so much, “make disciples.”  This is one of the very last things that Jesus said when He left Earth.  Jesus, The Teacher had to take TIME to MAKE DISCIPLES.  And Jesus HAD TO LEAVE to come to Earth to do many things and one of them WAS TO SHOW US HOW TO DISCIPLE PEOPLE!  And the ones He was speaking to on the day he left had to LEAVE and GO!  GO MAKE DISCIPLES!  Some had to leave their Cities, Families and go to another level . . . Because it was their turn to Disciple others now!  When people give their lives to Jesus there is next a “training” called Discipleship that needs to be implemented.

Disciples ARE MADE.  When you give your life to Jesus then you need to BE MADE INTO A DISCIPLE.  You are not automatically one.  A Disciple is a pupil, a student, they are instructed, they become skillful and trained.  Many teach that when a person gives their life to Jesus that they are a Disciple.  It is one who accepts the responsibility of learning, really learning from a Teacher and becoming trained as soldiers for The Kingdom of God.  There are people who believe that they are Disciples and don't read The Word of God!  How can you be a Disciple of Jesus Christ and not read the Word, when Jesus IS THE WORD OF GOD?  How can one know The Word, if one does not read The Word . . . which IS JESUS, HIMSELF!  The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 (NIV)  The very basic element of Discipleship is reading The Bible daily.

When speaking of "Leaving" there is such an aspect of it when it comes to Disciples of Jesus.  In The Bible we see that there were people who stayed, stayed for a while, left immediately and left when it became too hard on their flesh or mind or lives.  There is a reason for that.  The deeper The Lord went with all of those Disciples, the deeper and more “surrender” of themselves it took.  One cannot stay where you are and go forward.  Stay and Go Forward are Contradictory of each other.  Let’s look at The Word of how Jesus, Himself described a Disciple.

One day when large groups of people were walking along with him, Jesus turned and told them, “Anyone who comes to me but refuses to let go of father, mother, spouse, children, brothers, sisters—yes, even one’s own self!—can’t be my disciple. Anyone who won’t shoulder his own cross and follow behind me can’t be my disciple. Luke 14:25-27 (MSG)

“So then, any of you who does not forsake (renounce, surrender claim to, give up, say good-bye to) all that he has cannot be My disciple.” Luke 14:33 (AMPC)

“Then Jesus said to his followers, “If any of you want to be my follower, you must stop thinking about yourself and what you want. You must be willing to carry the cross that is given to you for following me. 25 Any of you who try to save the life you have will lose it. But you who give up your life for me will find true life.” Matthew 16:24-25 (ERV)

“Yes,” Jesus replied, and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News, 30 will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property—along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life. 31 But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then.” Mark 10:29-31 (NLT)

“And He was saying to them all, If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross daily [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me].”  Luke 9:23 (AMP)

People, Things, Positions, Wants and Comforts of this life, Jesus addressed them all.  He told us that to be a Disciple and Follower of Him we had to surrender.  He and what He tells us to do has to be First.  And if He asks a Disciple of His to LEAVE things and places, a Disciple will.  For example there was a man which is known to be called, "the rich young ruler." (Mark 10:17-27)  He came to Jesus wanting Life which is Jesus, but HIS THINGS meant more to him than being a Disciple of The King.  He couldn't LEAVE his things behind to follow Jesus, Who says that he would have found his true life by doing so.  "Any of you who try to save the life you have will lose it. But you who give up your life for me will find true life. Matthew 16:25 (ERV)

In Luke Chapter 9 there are two people we want to look at.  One, Jesus, Himself ASKED TO BE A DISCIPLE and then another person ASKED IF HE COULD BE ONE.

“And He said to another, Become My disciple, side with My party, and accompany Me! But he replied, Lord, permit me first to go and bury (await the death of) my father.  60  But Jesus said to him, Allow the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and publish abroad throughout all regions the kingdom of God.

61 Another also said, I will follow You, Lord, and become Your disciple and side with Your party; but let me first say good-bye to those at my home.  62 Jesus said to him, No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back [to the things behind] is fit for the kingdom of God.”  Luke 9:59-62 (AMPC)

Both of these men had something in common.  They both wanted to be a Disciple of Jesus and His Ministry and both would not obey in LEAVING.  Both would not LEAVE People.  So we now see that it is not just THINGS but it is also PEOPLE that can cost you "True Life."  And most would ask, Why wouldn't Jesus want the one man to go and await the death of his father?  Well, the real question is, Why wasn't the father with Jesus himself?   Jesus was where "true life" was.  Jesus gives us insight into the relationship that the father of this son had with God.  Jesus called the son's father, "dead."  And he said, "Allow the dead to bury their own dead;"  Jesus tells us that this man's father did not have a relationship with God and others with him, "their own dead."  Jesus tells this son to "Become my disciple . . . accompany Me."  He was given the opportunity and invitation by Jesus, Himself to LEAVE and BECOME A DISCIPLE!  To LEAVE people who were in a state of "dead" with God in their lives.  But the son decided to choose family or people over God and His Plans for his life.  The son chose to "accompany" his father who Jesus called already "dead" instead of choosing The Life, The Way, The Word, Jesus.  The man chose to NOT LEAVE and not follow the Path that God had predestined and preplanned for him.

The second man in Luke 9 wanted to be a Disciple of Jesus too, yet he too wanted to GO BACKWARDS and NOT GO FORWARD with Jesus.  He wanted to do things his own way and in "his own understanding" which God has told us not to do. (Proverbs 3:5-6)  This man did not choose THE WAY . . . he did not choose THE PATH that God had told him to take.  He wanted to put the people in his life before following the directions of The Lord.

Both men lost.  Both did NOT FULFILL THE PLAN OF GOD ON THEIR LIVES.  Both did NOT WALK ON THE PATHS GOD HAD PREPARED FOR THEM.  Both chose to not take the direction of The Lord that day.  And how do we know that?  Because the very next verse following Luke 9:62 is Luke 10:1-2 (AMPC) which tells us,

"Now after this the Lord chose and appointed seventy others and sent them out ahead of Him, two by two, into every town and place where He Himself was about to come (visit). 2  And He said to them, The harvest indeed is abundant [there is much ripe grain], but the farmhands are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."

"Now after this," after what?  After the situations where Jesus addressed these two men about them becoming Disciples and putting what He was telling them to do over the people in their lives.  "The Lord chose and appointed seventy OTHERS!"  Other people, other than these two men!  These two men were not included, Jesus chose seventy others!  These two men in Luke 9 left The Lord and LEFT THE PATHS and THEIR DESTINIES that were prepared and preplanned for them.

These men missed it!  They missed their PATHS.  They SHOULD HAVE WALKED IN THEM!  If they had, The Word tells us that they would have lived, "the good life."  It is a CHOICE.  They were asked to LEAVE and they chose not to and OTHERS WERE CHOSEN IN THEIR PLACE TO DO WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO.  Truly, very sad.

Beloved of God, Jesus gave His Life so we could have Life.  He is King and He is Lord.  You and I have to MAKE HIM our King and Lord of our lives.  He is still King and He is still Lord . . . it's OVER OUR LIVES that we have to give Him.  He is Willing and He wants us to give and surrender our ALL.  Yet, our lives are His Gift to us.  We are the ONLY ONES who can give our life to Him.

The Lord is beckoning YOU.  He wants YOU.  He wants ALL OF YOU.  If you have never given your life to Jesus or you are away from Him, get things right with Him.  Get it all right with Him.  Right now make the decision to give Him . . . YOU.  Say this prayer and mean it with all that's in you and say,

Jesus I have been living without you in my life and I have done things my own way.  I renounce the past and my sins.  I ask You to forgive me of my sins, come into my life and save me.  I make You, The Lord of my life.  Please fill me with The Holy Spirit and Fire all in The Name of Jesus Christ!  Amen!

If you are Born Again and you know that The Lord is speaking to you about being a Disciple of His, this is YOUR TIME to say "Yes" to The Master!  You read about people who didn't say "Yes" or said they wanted to but put things, people, positions and wants before The Lord.  You do not want to be one of those people!  If you know it is your time to say "Yes" to becoming a Disciple of Jesus then tell Him right now!  Just tell Him,

Jesus, You are My Lord and I love You so very much!  My life is not my own and I am surrendering my all to you today, Sir.  I will take the paths You have so lovingly predestined and preplanned for me!  My heart is ready and I am ready to grow and to be discipled Lord!  I want to be all that You want me to be and I surrender!  Teach me, mold me and make me into your Likeness and ready me to be a soldier in Your Army.  I WILL FOLLOW YOU AND YOUR ORDERS!  I AM YOURS TO COMMAND IN JESUS NAME!  AMEN!

If you said either of those prayers, please let us know here at JCM, we want to rejoice with you and help you in any way we can!  We Love You and are For You!  Until next time . . .

Keep Getting Ready, Jesus Is Coming!                                                                                                              Jamie
